Boxing Day (correction: it was actually Christmas Day) 2013. The sign-up sheet fooled me... There was only 6 groups before me when I signed myself up so I thought, "Ok, I can handle this". I found out much later what really happened was the lady took the full page of sign up sheet with her shortly before we arrived... If I had known earlier, I would have gone somewhere else nearby.
"The ramen better be out of this world." I thought to myself while I was waiting and freezing on the streets...
After almost giving up a few times, it's finally our turn... The shop is very small, 20 pax at most. The seats are also very packed and very tight. (I wonder how can people escape if there was a fire...) Nevertheless, I thought everyone was very considerate... the chefs are working as fast as they could and nobody was loittering around when they are done eating. That really helped to keep the line moving.
Totto specializes in chicken paitan ramen. The broth is much lighter in taste compared to the traditional tonkatsu (pork) broth. The ramen is cooked al dente and I like how the miso accented the broth. The thing I didn't care for much was the char siu. It was a bit too dry. I also thought the rayu was unnecessary as the ramen was full of flavor alone already.

My verdict: The ramen wasn't bad but I can't hardly justify the two hours wait time. I might be back if there was no line and I was desparate for ramen.
